DEWAYNE LONG JR. ‘00 was a four-sport athlete at DCHS. He received all-state honors in football and baseball in 1999, the same year he helped his team to a varsity baseball state championship. In 2000, he was an Aquinas Key recipient and again earned all-state honors in baseball.

He received a full-ride scholarship to Nebraska where he was selected to the Big 12 Commissioner’s honor roll and earned the athletic department’s honors medallion. He transferred to Colgate University in New York where he continued his football career and interned at ESPN.
