Lincoln Mincks

Baseball • Boys Track & Field • Football
Graduation Year: 1999

During his time at Dowling Catholic Lincoln Mincks ran varsity track for one year, played varsity football for two, and played varsity baseball for all four years of his high school career. As a junior he was named first team all-state in baseball. As a senior he was named elite all-state and was recognized as the Iowa High School Baseball Player of the Year. He also helped lead the baseball team to a state championship title as co-captain during his senior year.

He continued his baseball career in college, playing for two years at Iowa State University before transferring to the University of Central Florida where he continued his baseball career and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and sociology. He was an all-conference pitcher at both schools and went on to play professional minor league baseball for four years following college.

What he remembers most about his experience at Dowling Catholic are his teachers, classmates and coaches; the life lessons and the competition; the expectation to be your best; and the way Dowling Catholic prepared him for life.

Lincoln currently works for Sprayer Specialities, Inc. and lives in Johnston, Iowa, with his wife Danielle and their three children - Parker, Maxim and Hayden.
