• During his Dowling career, Mike played Baseball, Football and Basketball.
• His baseball honors include All-State selection and the Iowa Daily Press Association’s Baseball Honor Roll and Iowa High School Baseball All-Star Team.
• He continued his baseball career at Grandview College and Arkansas Tech University
• He was the 19th pick in the 1984 draft and played four years for the Philadelphia Phillies.
• Currently, Mike lives in Des Moines, has four children, and works for the Polk Country Engineering Department.
