• Student trainer for football teams from 1976-1979; also played basketball and ran track
• Head football coach Bob Nizzi would often comment that he wished his players would give half the effort on the practice field that Mark gave for the team each and every practice
• For 30 years, he has been the voice of the Dowling Catholic Maroons on 1150AM KWKY Catholic Radio
• Since 1997, co-host of the Saturday Morning Radio Show on the statewide Iowa Sports Connection radio network
• For past 3 years has hosted the Morning Show which runs Monday-Friday at 7 am on KWKY
• Currently resides in Des Moines with his wife Mary, they have 2 children, Alexander & Grace
• Mark works for the Polk County Auditor
• Parents are the late Frank and Patricia Amadeo
• Oldest of 5 children, all of which attended St. Anthony School
• Fondest memories:
o All-school assemblies/pep rallies that really fired up the student body
o All-school Masses and Candle Lighting ceremony
o The enthusiasm among the student body for the Annual Pancake Breakfast -- especially the competition and excitement for the “skip day”
