Mike taught and coached at Dowling from 1977­-1994. He was the freshman Head Football Coach and Varsity Assistant from 1977­-93. Mike served as a wrestling Varsity Assistant and Freshman Coach from 1977­-94, and boys Varsity Assistant Track Coach from 1978­-85. During the years Mike coached football, Dowling earned 2nd place for the State Championship title, numerous conference titles, and coached several state playoff teams. Mike was a long time freshman wrestling coach focused on fundamentals. He helped coach Dowling Catholic wrestling to 11 State Championship team titles, 5 State Runner Up team titles, and coached numerous state champions and place winners. Mike lives in Urbandale with his wife Kristy, and their children Andy and Sarah.
