Induction 2015

Bill Rose put Dowling golf on the map. He coached the Dowling Boy’s Golf Team from 1983 to 2012. During this time, he led the Maroons to eight state championships, three runner-up finishes and six 3rd place finishes.

• Golf Pro at the Wakonda Club (1960 – 1967)
• Head Men’s Golf Coach at Drake University (1972 – 1978)
• Teaching Pro at various venues

Aside from his astute ability to teach the game, Bill was a favorite in the golfing community. Working with young people and around the Dowling community brought Bill great joy.
