Induction 2014

Nate’s sport is golf. His athletic successes here at Dowling Catholic included:
• Placing 6thindividually as a junior at the State Golf tournament
• As a senior, he was the State individual champion, player of the year and selected to the 4A All-Tournament Team
• Two-time CIML Conference Champion

His achievements continued as an Iowa State University recruit:

• In 2012, 1st Team All-Big 12, Ping All-Central Regional selection and Honorable Mention All-American
• Iowa State Male Athlete of the Year his senior year
• 42nd ranked college player in the country that same year
• First Cyclone to play in the NCAA Tournament final since 1980, finishing 29th

Nate turned professional upon graduating from Iowa State and is currently a member of PGA Tour Canada. He did take a break from the tour this past April when he caddied for his Dad, Mike McCoy `81, at the Masters.

In August, he earned his first Canadian Tour win at the Wildfire Invitational in Ontario, and two weeks ago, he placed 6th at the TOUR Championship of Canada, held at the Sunningdale Golf & Country Club, London, Ontario.

When not on tour or golfing around the world, he and his wife Ashley live in West Des Moines.
