Claudia was a member of the 2013 state championship softball team and was named captain all-tournament. She was recognized as pitcher of the year in 2013 and 2014 and was named to the all-tournament team in 2014. She was also selected for all-state honors 2012-2014.

She continued her softball career at Grandview University in Des Moines where she was a four-time pitcher of the year and the first in program history to be selected as a four-time All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). She finished her college career as the best pitcher to step on the mound for the Vikings, pitching a career record of 104-20 and earning more than 1,000 strikeouts.

What she remembers most about her experience at Dowling Catholic is the accomplishment of winning a state championship title. She also has fond memories of cheering at football games from the student section and the amazing teachers. Claudia is back on campus in her current role as head coach of the girls softball team at Dowling Catholic.
